It was a beautiful morning by the grace of God in the middle of the monsoon rains. The students and teachers were eager to put on a show for the parents and guardian who turned up in large numbers. The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the tri-colour by Dr. Praveen Reddy who was Chief Guest for the day.
The students from Grade 1 to VIII out did themselves in parade { in which Teresa House was adjudged winners and received a special cake + 100 points for the house} song and drills. An investiture ceremony was conducted for the new prefects of the school.
The Principal spoke about what Independence means in the country and expressed the big strides forward taken over the last 75 years. The Chief Guest thanked and encouraged the students and praised the staff for the commendable effort.
The School Choir sang the patriotic song Sare-Jahan-Se-Accha very well. The programme ended with a Taekwondo performance by the students and was very well appreciated by the spectators. The students were given light refreshment after the event.
